Bully Sticks: Single source, high value chew. Long-lasting and doesn’t disintegrate like rawhide. Also tends to be slightly kinder to tummies.
Fish Skin Chews: Good alternative to bully sticks for dogs who prefer fish protein, or as an interesting alternative.
Tuber Chew: Good substitute for dogs who like to chew on wooden furniture - slightly higher in sugars and doesn’t splinter in the same way as a piece of wood.
Hard Cheese Chews: Provides an outlet for touch chewers (and the end bit can be microwaved in water to make a nice cheesy puff).
Sprats: Dehydrated whole fish, lots of nutrients. Great for enrichment, and especially good for dogs who don’t like the more traditional proteins.
Treat Paste: High value for fussy eaters, and easy to carry and dispense.
Furbo: App-controlled camera, mic and treat dispenser. Use it to monitor your pet, talk to them and dispense rewards from a distance.
Classic Kong: Excellent for enrichment, can be made easier or more difficult as needed.
Kong Wobbler: Introduces movement and sound, plus novel movement. Also slows down mealtimes for the fast eaters.
Snuffle Mat: Encourages natural foraging, independent behaviour and mental stimulation.
Puzzle Feeder: Burn off mental energy and turn a 5 minute meal into a 45 minute event. Start easy and build up through difficulty levels.
Slow Feeder: Ideal for the scoffers in the crowd. Comes in a variety of shapes - ensure you chose the right size and type for your dog’s face shape.
Holee Roller: Stuff with large treats to keep them going for longer. If your dog enjoys unstuffing toys, cut strips of cloth and feed them through the ball with a single treat in the middle to meet that need.
Treat and Train: Remote controlled treat dispenser. Excellent for crate training, separation training and down/stays amongst other things. Includes a target stick and training booklet.
Training Leash: Clips on both ends allow for adjustable length, or to clip on to multi-point harnesses.
Long Line: I recommend starting with the 5m. 10m is useful but can be unwieldy for novice users.
Perfect Fit Harness: Modular, fleece lined and adjustable in four places, this harness allows you to dress your dog in the way they prefer, is comfortable and durable.
Tug-e-Nuff Toys: Great for teaching impulse control and appropriate play. Use the code DECOROUS for 10% off your order.
Collapsible Flirt Pole: Useful for working with chase drive and training impulse control. The collapsible handle makes it easy to carry, but slightly less robust than the fixed handle.
Fixed Flirt Pole: Useful for working with chase drive and training impulse control. The fixed handle makes it more robust than the collapsible version, but it’s pricier and less convenient.
Target Stick: Great for target training and extending range. Also very useful for those with small dogs or impaired movement.
Crate: If used correctly, crates are a source of comfort and safety. Two doors make it easier to place in a room, a plastic tray is less noisy (and more comfortable) than a metal one, and the brushed metal wears better.
Vet Bedding: Absorbent, easy to clean and non-slip.
Anti-slip mats: Impact and spin-outs on hard floors are bad for joints. Strategically placed mats can help minimise the damage.
Brain Games: Encourage your dog to think through problems, engage with novel items and develop independence.
Tricks Training: Easy to follow and fun. Even the silliest party trick reinforces the training process and builds the bond between dog and handler.
Scent Work: Utilise natural instincts to burn off energy and encourage calm engagement with the environment.
Wobble Board: Perfect for building confidence on uneven surfaces, focus to handler and develops core strength with minimal joint impact.
